Chicken Spareribs with Teriyaki Marinade

Ingredients:
500g chicken spareribs
For marinade
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon grated onion
½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sweet sherry
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons oil

Method:
Mix all marinade ingredients together and shake well.
Pour over spare ribs and leave for at least 30 minutes.
Place on BBQ grill or hotplate, medium heat, and cook for 5 minutes each side.

This marinade is also excellent for steaks, lamb chops, pork chops, and chicken pieces or for brushing over parboiled potatoes or eggplant sliced thickly before they are barbecued on a hot plate or cooked in a frying pan.
