Belgium Biscuits
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 ½ cups self raising flour
Pinch salt
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons treacle
Method:
Rub butter into sifted flour and salt, until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Beat together the sugar, egg and treacle.
Mix into dry ingredients until it forms a ball.
Roll out on a floured ball and cut into rounds, using a 6cm cutter.
Place on a greased baking sheet and cook in a moderate oven, until brown.
