Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup castor sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ cups plain flour
3 cups quick oats
½ cup chopped walnuts
Method:
Cream butter and the two sugars until fluffy.
Add the eggs and beat well.
Mix in the vanilla, dry ingredients, oats and walnuts.
Form into small balls and put them on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 15-17 minutes in a moderate oven, until the edges are crisp and the centre still soft.
