Raisin and Cinnamon Oat Porridge
Ingredients:
175g (6oz) porridge oats
250ml (9fl oz) rice, sesame, soya or almond milk
250ml (9fl oz ) water
1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) linseed (flaxseed) oil – optional
1 teaspoon (5g) cinnamon
4 tablespoons (60g) raisins
2 tablespoons (30g) chopped toasted almonds.
Method:
Mix the oats, milk and water in a saucepan.
Bring to the boil and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in the linseed(flaxseed) oil, cinnamon, raisins and nuts. Serve immediately while still warm.
